Dorie mentions on the page of this recipe that it was from a friend who likes a “dry cake” which was intriguing. Mind you I thought about many ways to “spruce up” what was sounding to be a bit blah. Dry. Coconut. Cake. I mean, really, who looks forward to that? But, I did not even [...] Today marks the first day of spring and it has announced itself with a gentle warming effect over the last few days. What fun to see life begin to grow, flowers begin to bloom and the feeling in the air change without much effort.
