Just as summertime is perfect for mangoes here in Peru, the tomatoes are also sweet, juicy and bright red. The cherry tomatoes are my favorite and I would sincerely consider them like candy around these times. I was fortunate to visit a cherry tomato producer outside of Lima. They are growing several things in greenhouses in order to have more control over the final product. The vines of cherry tomatoes were towering. Overwhelming. It was like a forest of green vines with small, red tomatoes sprinkled everywhere. I absolutely loved it!
